Discover Orca is not a conventional travel agency: I take small groups to the place I return to myself every year.
Who you'll be travelling with
My name is Thibault Golaz. Orcas have fascinated me since 2021, and I return to Norway several times a year: I know the Skjervøy area well, its fjords and its winter conditions.
I am a certified Rescue Diver and I am on site for the whole trip: I welcome the group, keep the link with the crew and make sure things run smoothly, at sea and back at the house.
Working with a local agency
Outings at sea are operated together with an experienced local Norwegian agency, which takes care of the boat, the crew and safety at sea. That is a deliberate choice: nobody knows these fjords better than the people who sail them all season.
I handle the organisation of the trip, putting the group together and accompanying participants. Operating the excursions themselves is the local partner's responsibility.
The spirit of the trip
Small group, shared house, meals cooked together: the format is deliberately simple and sociable. This is not an all-inclusive package but a trip among people who came for the same reason.
Respect for the animals is not a marketing line: it is the condition for these encounters to remain possible. I would rather come home without images than push a group of orcas that would rather be left alone.

We run several trips each season, always with a small group. Tell us when you are available and how many you are: we will check what is possible and reply within 48 hours.
